Welcome to Librify's Privacy Policy. At Librify, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Librify student application and related services.
Librify is a smart library management platform that connects students with private libraries and study spaces. The Librify student application allows students to join libraries through QR codes, manage their library membership and subscription, mark attendance, access library-related information, receive notifications, and use optional features such as Focus Mode.
In providing these services, we collect and process certain personal, account, device, and application-related information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
We collect information necessary to provide and maintain the features of the Librify student application. The information we collect may include the following:
If you enable push notifications, Librify may collect and process device or installation identifiers and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration tokens associated with your device. These identifiers are used to provide push notification functionality and deliver relevant notifications to your device.
Librify provides an optional Focus Mode designed to help students reduce distractions during study sessions. When you choose to enable Focus Mode, the application uses Android's AccessibilityService API to provide the functionality.
The AccessibilityService may be used to detect applications being opened on the device so that Librify can apply the restrictions configured for an active Focus Mode session. Information about applications on the device may therefore be accessed or processed as necessary to provide this feature.
Focus Mode is optional. The AccessibilityService is not used for advertising or for selling personal information. The information accessed through this functionality is used to provide and operate the Focus Mode feature.
We use the information we collect for purposes including:
Librify uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications to users. When push notifications are enabled, Firebase may process an FCM registration token and associated device or installation identifiers required to deliver notifications.
These identifiers are used to deliver notifications to the appropriate device and maintain notification functionality. You may manage notification permissions through your device settings.
Focus Mode is an optional productivity feature intended to help students stay focused while studying by reducing access to selected distracting applications during an active focus session.
To provide this functionality on Android devices, Librify uses the Android AccessibilityService API. When the Accessibility Service is enabled by the user, Librify may detect which application is currently being opened so that Focus Mode can determine whether the configured restriction should be applied.
Librify does not use the AccessibilityService for advertising or to sell user information. The service is used specifically to provide the Focus Mode functionality selected by the user.
Focus Mode is optional, and users can choose whether to enable the required AccessibilityService permission.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share or allow access to information when necessary to provide Librify services or in the following circumstances:
The security of your data is important to us. We implement appropriate security measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
These measures include:
